When Words Fail
A Poem
Writers suffer deeply
when they strive to voice
a thought or feeling
but their words fail
to materialize.
They sit dumbly and stare
blankly at a barren page
or screen before them
their pens and keyboards
are silent as a grave.
In the end, they submit
to their futility
feeling the frustration
of a hapless mute
yet hesitate briefly
To reconsider
with a buoyant thought...
perhaps tomorrow?

Your poem, Frederick, is so right on. A writer's frustration clothed in poetic costume. Ending in "Perhaps tomorrow", the ever present hope....
And I appreciate that photo. It could almost be from where I live. With love, Maria
Great title and message.
