Raven Duo
A Poem
The above Unsplash photo is by Steve Harvey.
Walking along
a deserted
country road
we spied
two majestic ravens
frolicking.
Was it a male that
soared into the air
and dazzled us
with aerial
acrobatics
soaring, gliding,
in stunning loops then
banking with such
graceful turns
outflying even the
omnipresent
hawks?
Its partner perched
regally upon
a nearby tree limb
haughtily ignored us
yet coyly turned
its head and beak aside
as we passed.

Thank you, Lady G, for the restack.
Ravens, they are magnificent and your poem caught one of them in flight, with the other watching. Maybe your camera can catch them next time. Love, Maria
