To paraphrase Woody Allen in his film, "Love and Death." His character Boris Grushenko says, "It's not that I'm afraid of death, I just don't want to be around when he shows up." That said, I'd like to die in my sleep during a sweet dream.
I agree. Death is inevitable, so why lose sleep over it? You do the the best can you with what you've got, and be thankful for that. We've all experienced ups and downs, and disappointments. Some of us have been far more fortunate than others. But material success and wealth is no guarantee for a "good life." There are more important things.
I do imagine that moment of death, and wonder how I'll be. Panicked? Anxious? Settled? Peaceful? I hope it's the last two and I try to live my life so that's the case.
Thank you, G, for your restack. Enjoy the cappuccino since it's still early where you are. I'm about ready to hit the sack. Who knows what dreams will stir in the arms of Morpheus?
Typo in ‘will your life will…’ , I suspect. :(
Glad it was “all a dream’.
Probably a cut and paste error or the AI Grinch struck again.
I dreamed I'd died once, but it was a very peaceful feeling, it's the way I die not death itself I fear. Beautifully put Frederick 🤗

"Clad in the wrinkles of years". Wow! Love the image.
Thank you, Teresa. In my case, I thought it was apropos.

Beautifully said IIona. Be well, Geraldine
Good pictures for the poem. Did you take them yourself?
Yes, unless I specify otherwise, all the photos I post are mine.
“It was all just a dream” Oh yippee!
I’m gonna have a cappuccino right now, since you suggested, at 7:30 PM, because I’m retired and can sleep whenever I want! Great poem Frederick. G
